Preußen Münster has extended the contract with left-back Luca Bolay prematurely. The 23-year-old has developed into an important player this season and is now being rewarded. Bolay joined Preußen Münster from third-division club Waldhof Mannheim in June 2024 and has become a regular player under coach Alexander Ende. Sports director Jan Uphues justifies the contract extension: „Luca is a player who stands for the things that are important to us at Preußen Münster. He is open and interested in his fellow human beings, identifies completely with the club.“ Bolay himself is overjoyed about the contract extension and is looking forward to staying with Preußen Münster for a longer period. However, other players like Mikkel Kirkeskov and Malik Batmaz have uncertain futures. Kirkeskov's contract expires at the end of the season, while Batmaz is not eligible for a contract extension due to a cruciate ligament injury. So Preußen Münster now has to fight for the right squad for the next season. But Bolay's contract extension is a positive sign for the club. He has become an important part of the team and will continue to play a key role in the future. And with his contract extension, Preußen Münster has taken an important step towards building a strong team for the next season.
