Preußen Münster is losing one of its most important players, Batista-Meier, who is moving to SC Paderborn. The native Palatinate came to the Hammer Straße last summer with high expectations and is leaving Münster just a year later. Despite a relegation season that was anything but happy for both sides, the technically skilled offensive player is apparently taking his next career step. The fact is that Batista-Meier, who can make a difference on a good day and is still under contract with the Schwarz-Weiß-Grünen until 2027 plus an option for another year, is striving for more. The SC Paderborn is the hottest candidate for Batista-Meier's transfer, which comes with a transfer fee of 400,000 Euros. Batista-Meier is convinced that he can make a name for himself in the 1st or 2nd league. Alexander Ende, who lured him to the Adlerträger in 2025, will likely be unsuccessful in his attempt to reunite with him on the Rhine. In Paderborn, Batista-Meier will meet with managing director Sebastian Lange, an old acquaintance. Together, they wore the jersey of SC Verl in the past. While Batista-Meier, who was able to increase his market value to 1.8 million Euros at the Hammer Straße, came to Preußen via Dynamo Dresden, Grashoppers Zürich, and SSV Ulm, the connection between Paderborn and Münster has existed for a long time. Not only ter Horst and now probably Batista-Meier have switched from one SCP to the other. Marcel Hoffmeier also chose this path four years ago. Although the ball is currently at a standstill, Preußen Münster is working behind the scenes with high pressure on the new third league season. What has changed with the bitter relegation and why the Adlerträger are still optimistic about the future is explained by Münster's marketing and sales managing director, Philipp Deipenbrock, in a very vivid and detailed manner in the new episode of the popular insider podcast Preußen Privat from the cult Bode-Loge.
