Preußen Münster has signed Ryan Johansson as its third new recruit for the upcoming season. The 25-year-old midfielder joins from league rival SV Wehen Wiesbaden and is expected to enhance the team's offense with his versatile skills. Jan Uphues, Preußen Münster's sports director, says: „Ryan is a versatile offensive player who can be used both in the center and on the wing.“ Ryan Johansson himself is thrilled at the prospect of playing for Preußen Münster: „The club is in an exciting phase, already has a great stadium despite the ongoing construction work, and has very passionate fans.“ Johansson moved from his native Luxembourg to the youth team of FC Metz at the age of 13 and then went through various stations, including FC Bayern München and FC Sevilla Atlético. Most recently, he played for SV Wehen Wiesbaden, scoring five goals and five assists in 72 games. Uphues is convinced that Johansson will help the team successfully overcome the upcoming challenges. Johansson was born in Luxembourg to an Irish mother and a Swedish father and holds all three citizenships. He last played for the Ireland U21 team and appeared in five games.
